YEREVAN. – The shortcomings of North-South Road Corridor project are being eliminated, Transport Minister Gagik Beglaryan said.

On Thursday, Beglaryan met with Asian Development Bank Vice-President Xiaoyu Zhao to discuss the project. He noted that the sides must do everything to carry out high quality work in due time.  

In his turn, ADB Vice-President said he had visited the construction site to inspect implementation of the project.  

Noting importance of effective implementation of the project, Beglaryan said they faced certain problems with engineering and technical control conducted by Isolux Corsan and contsruction wroks provided carried out by Safege company.

Minister Beglaryan stressed importance of quick providing further tranches. He recalled that during the previous meetings with ADB officials he raised the issue of accelerating the third tranche which will enable to carry out the final selection of programs, and the fourth tranche which is supposed for research and design work.
