YEREVAN. – The visit of Stefan Fule to Armenia will further push the country's EU association efforts, ambassador Traian Hristea, head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, said at the Board meeting of the EU Advisory Group to Armenia, held on Friday in Yerevan.

“This visit will give a new momentum to an already intensive dialogue of Armenia with the Union on the agenda of reforms”, he added.

Quoting Fule, who is the European Commissioner for enlargement and Neighborhood policy, Hristea added that these improvements will not only open new opportunities in terms of access to the EU market, but will also allow Armenia to improve domestic business climate in labor market and infrastructure.

The EU Advisory group will need to support these steps and provide policy advice, based on future association agenda and needs assessment. For this end, methodology for advisory assistance has been upgraded. Talks are underway to extend advisory help to Armenia beyond the original deadline of 2014, he added.
