YEREVAN. – Armenia wants to choose six long-term EU advisers on trade and civil society, head of Armenia’s National Security Council said.
“Currently we have over a dozen experts. I respect their work, but in our interests is to make it more targeted and do not scatter resources. So we want to choose six experts, but long-term experts, and in the industries that we believe are a priority,” he said during the Board meeting of the EU Advisory Group to Armenia.
Deputy Minister of Economy Garegin Melkonian noted that the priority areas for the country are technical barriers to trade, phytosanitary control, tax and customs policythe development of civil society and human rights, institutional development, in particular for standardization and certification agencies, as well as legal reforms.
