YEREVAN. – A joint advisory group from the United States and Great Britain was in Armenia from July 7 to Saturday.  

The group was in the country along the lines of organizing the new phase of the Strategic Defense Review (SDR) of Armenia.  

On Tuesday, Armenia’s First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan held a consultation meeting with the advisory group members, the Armenian MOD press service informs. He presented the MOD’s outlook on and vision toward the organization of the new phase of Armenia’s SDR.

Stressing the effectiveness of the joint activities that were carried out in the previous phase, the international advisory group members expressed, in their turn, a hope that a similar level of collaboration will be recorded during the forthcoming activities as well.       

On Friday, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received the US and British joint advisory group members. The latter presented the results of the work that was done in the previous days. Ohanyan, in turn, noted that SDR has acquired a regular nature. The minister also expressed confidence that, with joint efforts, the next strategic defense review of Armenia will be conducted with high efficiency.
