YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian dismissed Azerbaijani press reports saying during the recent meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart in Vienna they allegedly touched upon the issue that Karabakh peace process can continue only under condition of “liberation of occupied territories.”

It is not the first time that Azerbaijan spreads misinformation after the meeting, Edward Nalbandian said on Monday during a joint press conference with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Leonid Kozhara.

“I can say that such presentation of a problem was mentioned neither during a tête-à-tête meeting, nor a meeting with Co-Chairs,” he assured.

There was a precedent when, after a meeting with the co-chairs, Armenia and the three co-chairs posted previously agreed texts on their sites, and the Azerbaijani side’s text was different from the position discussed at the meeting.

“During the Vienna meeting, we continued discussing how to advance the peace process. We discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings, including possible organization of a high level meeting by the end of this year. The last one failed because of Azerbaijan. Now there is understanding and agreement that such meeting is necessary. We must work to hold this meeting by the end of 2013,” he said.
