YEREVAN. – Armenian government is going to sign an agreement with Macau, one of the two Chinese special administrative regions, to mutually eliminate visa requirements.

The issue on getting permission to conclude an agreement is on the agenda of July 25 session of the Armenian government.

The certificate provided by the Armenian Foreign Ministry indicated there are no migration risks because of geographical distance. In addition, Armenian businessmen show interest in developing trade and economic relations with Macau.

It should be noted that the Special Administrative Region of Macao is an autonomous territory in the People’s Republic of China. Being a part of China, Macau has a high degree of autonomy, with its own laws, legal, monetary and customs systems, as well as the right to participate in the work of international organizations.
