Turkey-Azerbaijan talks on further gas supply through Nabucco main are suspended, said Turkish Energy and Natural resources Minister Taner Yildiz on March 23.

“We did not hold talks with Azerbaijan within last 1.5months. The main reason was political developments in the region,” Yildiz stated.

According to him, to present it is unclear how Azerbaijan responded to Turkey’s offer to supply gas to Europe at below market prices. “Our offer can be accepted. I have already stated that it is acceptable from market terms viewpoint,” he added, expressing confidence that eventually the parties will achieve a consensus, ITAR TASS reports referring to Turkish media.
