YEREVAN. – The consumers must not be systematically frightened by the danger of genetically modified foods, head of an Armenian NGO said.

Armen Poghosyan, chairman of Armenian Consumers’ Association NGO, said the science have not unambiguously proved the danger of GMO.  

“Despite this, people are speaking about GMOs with oppressive anxiety. The children are allegedly born with two heads, scary mutants. With two heads? I have not seen such a person. I saw people without head, but that’s another story,” he emphasized.
