YEREVAN. – Chairman of Armenian Consumers’ Association NGO believes that consumers’ knowledge about certain good should be limited to basic essentials.

“Figuratively speaking, you need to know two things: first, the water will come out after you open the tap; secondly, where to go if the water is not coming out. An example is, of course, simple, but the meaning is clear,” Armen Poghosyan said during the Saturday press conference dedicated to World Quality Day.

In the case of food products there are still labeling problems, Poghosyan said, adding that NGO has been reporting about shortcomings for already 20 years.

“They have just to put readable expiration dates in the right place and mention the ingredients,” he noted.
