YEREVAN. – The situation over Syria is definitely a result of American initiatives, chairman of Armenia-based Noravank center believes.

Gagik Harutyunyan said Syria faces war, not a civilian, but a real war in which legitimate government of the country is one of the parties.

The political analyst is convinced that a provoked war in Syria led to terrible losses.

“It is necessary to emphasize that the U.S. president now has shown quite a sensible approach in relation to this issue, and there seems to be a possibility to solve the problem peacefully, despite the fact that it is a very difficult task,” Harutyunyan added.
