“I want to invite your attention on the point where a 4-percent growth—in dollars—in exports is envisioned in 2014, and clarify: Are you sure that this growth will be ensured?”

Armenian National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan asked the aforesaid, at Wednesday’s NA discussions devoted to the draft 2014 State Budget, when Finance Minister Davit Sargsyan assured that there will be losses in terms of budget revenues. 

The minister responded: “Indeed, these are forecasts and, now, it is difficult to say to what extent they will become a reality. The Government has certain a method whereby those predictions are made.” 

In turn Abrahamyan asked as to what extent the Finance Ministry was involved in the preparation of this draft budget.   

For his part, Sargsyan assured that their ministry had played its part in calculating the revenue portion of the budget.
