YEREVAN. – The municipalities are again forced to rely on the generosity of Yerevan in order to receive money for their budgets, former PM said.

Hrant Bagratyan noted that only about 30 billion of 110 billion drams provided for local budgets are mentioned in the draft budget for 2014 only with taxes on land and property.

Deductions from taxes on income and profits that make up three quarters of local budgets, are not mentioned.

“The community budgets can not exist without deductions and have to look at the palm of Yerevan to receive money for their expenses. This is unacceptable,” opposition MP said, speaking in the parliament.
