YEREVAN. – The special meeting of the Armenian parliament on postponing the launch of mandatory pension system was finally ruined, the Armenian News-NEWS.am’s correspondent reports.

Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan recalled that under regulations the meeting would have been held if more than a half of deputies gathered by 3pm.

“Only 50 deputies were registered for the meeting. This means that, according to the point 5 of Article 44 of the National Assembly regulations, the extraordinary session did not take place,” he said.

The special session was conveyed on the initiative of ARF Dashnaktsutyun, Prosperous Armenia and Heritage to discuss the mandatory accumulated pension system.
