YEREVAN. – Now, it seems there is no two-power climate in Georgia, and since there are no more obstacles, we expect the Georgian Dream coalition to fulfill all election promises.
Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Tachat Vardapetyan, who is also chairman of the “Georgian Armenians’ Unity” NGO, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Saturday.
In Vardapetyan’s conviction, the recent presidential elections in Georgia were within the framework of the requirements of democracy.
“Georgia’s President-elect Giorgi Margvelashvili will assume the office on [Sunday,] November 17. The Armenian delegation, led by the FM, will arrive in [Georgian capital city] Tbilisi to attend the inauguration of the president-elect.
“Although Giorgi Margvelashvili was not so well known to the Georgian society as a politician, he was the preferred candidate for us,” the RPA MP noted.
Tachat Vardapetyan also expressed a view that, after his forthcoming resignation, Georgia’s serving Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili will hardly leave politics.
