Russian president Vladimir Putin plans to visit Armenia in early December, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian.

Russian side views the meeting “as one of the key phases of preparation for the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Armenia in early December”, RIA Novosti reported.

Speaking about Armenia’s intention to join Customs Union and participation in formation of Eurasian Economic Union, Lavrov said the process of fulfilling necessary procedures is in a full swing.

“We will give every assistance for the process to be completed in due time,” Lavrov said.
