YEREVAN. – The upcoming meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents is aimed at securing peace in the region, head of ruling Republican Party of Armenia’s parliament faction said.
The fact that peace talks on Karabakh continue is a positive development, Galust Sahakyan told reporters on Tuesday.
Commenting on rumors about the opposition representative’s idea concerning Armenia’s withdrawal from OSCE Minsk Group process, Sahakyan noted that there is hardly any Armenian who wants resumption of hostilities.
“We do not need war, we have to seek peaceful ways to resolve the conflict,” he said.
Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents will meet in Vienna on Tuesday.
