YEREVAN. – I do not have a lot of expectations from the forthcoming meeting between Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, since some foundations are needed for such expectations.

Armenia’s opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party MP Vahan Hovhannisyan told the aforesaid to reporters on Tuesday.

“The Azerbaijani officials’ statements [made] in recent months do not give any hope that something has changed in their approaches, that they have become more conforming and realistic,” Hovhannisyan added.

Even though the ARF MP stressed the importance of the upcoming talk between the two presidents, “since such meetings leave ajar the door leading to peace,” he noted that he does not have a lot of expectations from this particular meeting.

To note, the forthcoming Serzh Sargsyan-Ilham Aliyev talk will be held in Vienna, Austria.
