YEREVAN. – Our cooperation with the World Bank (WB) has been effective.
Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted the aforementioned Tuesday at a meeting with Henry Kerali, WB Regional Director for the South Caucasus.
“We attach importance to the broadening of our relations,” Sargsyan added.
In turn, Kerali specifically said: “The World Bank Executive Board gave a high assessment to the Armenian government’s activities toward raising the competitiveness of the [country’s] economy.
“As a result, the volume of [WB] assistance [to Armenia] is expected to increase every year; this indicates the World Bank’s confidence in the Armenian government.
“We look forward to continuing our successful partnership the next four years, too.”
Subsequently, Tigran Sargsyan and Henry Kerali discussed the 2014-2017 strategy of the partnership between Armenia and the World Bank.
