YEREVAN. – The four non-coalition forces of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) may convene a special NA session to discuss the proposal to put off for one year the application of the law on cumulative pension.
Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) NA Faction member Lyudmila Sargsyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“[But] everything depends on the activeness of the initiative group. We will discuss this matter at Thursday’s meeting of the faction,” Sargsyan said.
The ANC MP noted that the authorities again will thwart their initiative to convene a special session, since the 2014 budget is built around the abovementioned law and they want to fill this budget in every way.
“This will show yet again as to their real intent. We are trying to do everything that depends on us, but we know what government we are dealing with,” Lyudmila Sargsyan added.
To note, on November 15, the ruling Republican Party NA Faction, which forms the majority in the Armenian parliament, had boycotted the NA special session devoted to this matter.
