YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with his Belarusian counterpart Mikhail Myasnikovich.
The two PMs got together ahead of the regular session of the Council of Heads of Governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries. The event will be held on Wednesday in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The interlocutors underscored the need for a continuous deepening of bilateral relations, informs the Armenian government press service.
Sargsyan noted that the agreements, which were reached at the previous talk with the Belarus PM, are becoming a reality. In his words, the allocation of the Belarusian agricultural machinery to Armenia has caused great enthusiasm among Armenian farmers.
For his part, Myasnikovich noted that he is satisfied with the results of the agreements.
Subsequently, the two premieres discussed bilateral cooperation. In this context, they highlighted the need to increase the volume of trade between both countries.
Welcoming Armenia’s initiative to join the Customs Union, which includes Belarus, Mikhail Myasnikovich assured that his country supports Armenia’s efforts to implement this process.
