YEREVAN. – The remains of unknown soldiers were discovered during excavations conducted in Ukraine.
The search activities enable to assume that the remains of an Armenian by the name of Sergey Aghasyan (born in 1925) likewise are buried there, informs the Armenian Police News Department.
Aghasyan had lived in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan prior to World War II, he was drafted to the Soviet army in 1944, and he died at the Battle of Kovel in July of the same year.
