Large productions in Armenia and Belarus are beneficial neither for the European Union (EU) nor the Customs Union (CC). 

Chemist Vladimir Agabekov, who is Director of the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“It is naïve to think that Russia will help build an oil processing plant. Or, why is the EU making Ukraine join it? In that case no production will be left there five years later,” the academician added.

In his view, low-tonnage chemistry is more advantageous for Armenia than high-tonnage chemistry.

“That is the most primary for countries like Armenia, Belarus, Latvia, or Lithuania. Large productions are not beneficial; there is a lot of competition in the market,” Vladimir Agabekov noted.
