YEREVAN. – Within the framework of his visit to Lithuanian capital city Vilnius to participate in the EU Eastern Partnership Business Forum, Armenia’s Economy Minister Vahram Avanesyan on Wednesday met with Lithuania’s Economy Minister Evaldas Gustas.
The interlocutors discussed bilateral economic relations, informs the Armenian Ministry of Economy press service.
They also noted that there is a potential for increasing the volume of investments and trade and that it is indispensable to deepen relations in these directions.
The parties underscored the idea of setting up the Armenia-Lithuania Intergovernmental Commission, and they decided to start the necessary procedures.
The discussants also reflected on the economic component of Armenia-EU relations. They noted that relations have developed dynamically and significant reforms were conducted in this domain.
The interlocutors also discussed Armenia’s decision of accession to the Eurasian Customs Union. They stressed that, in the new situation, the parties still shall seek to develop relations and ensure the continuity of the ongoing reforms.
