YEREVAN. – Armenia’s citizens are using banks to pay utility bills and to receive remittances from abroad, says the survey conducted by Armenian Marketing Association and MPG, partner of Gallup International in Armenia.

The survey showed that 43 percent of respondents are using bank services to pay utility bills, and 42 percent visit banks to exchange currency.  Thirty-nine percent of respondents use banks to get remittances from abroad, and 31 percent to use credit cards.

Twenty-four percents of respondents receive their salaries and scholarships via banks, while 21 percent use banks to send remittances.

Only six percent of respondents take mortgages, while 3 and 2 percent loans for buying cars and houses.
