YEREVAN. – Customs Union is the main export market for finished products from Armenia, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said.

This was one of the reasons why country's leadership considered joining the  Customs Union beneficial for the economy, PM said during the 15th anniversary of the Native Commodity Producers Union.

“For us, it is important to create new rules, same with this market. Therefore, it is necessary to bring together our technical regulations and sanitary certificates. We are moving forward on this,” PM said.

He noted that the Armenian government continues to negotiate with the Eurasian Economic Commission for temporary exemptions of customs duties on import from third countries. This concerns approximately 900 products that are important for the Armenian economy.
