The Los Angeles Times daily touched upon events organized by Armenians on 95th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. Along with annual march in Little Armenia, protest outside the Turkish Consulate held in Los Angeles, several thousand people laid flowers at the foot of Armenian Martyrs Memorial Monument in Montebello.

Politicians and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa took the floor, showing their support to Armenians. “Yes, it's true that Turkey should acknowledge the Genocide. But so should the United States of America,” Villaraigosa said.
