Spanish archaeologists have discovered an ancient image of Jesus Christ, and which dates back to the 4th century, FedPost reported.

The source noted, however, that this image is very different from the more recent ones, as this image depicts Jesus with a curly short hair and without a beard.

The archaeologists stated that this artifact was found inside a building belonging to the ruins of the ancient Iberian town of Castulo.

According to the archaeologists’ report, the relic is in excellent condition, and that is why they already have managed to restore 81 percent of the object.

The piece depicts Jesus Christ and two apostles surrounded by palm trees, which symbolize immortality, life after death, and paradise, in Christian iconography.
