YEREVAN. – When voting on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the MPs should be guided by their conscience and convictions, since this is a political decision first, and then an economic decision.
Opposition Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party National Assembly (RLP NA) Faction member Hovhannes Margaryan noted the aforesaid. He stated this at Thursday’s NA deliberations with respect to the ratification of the treaty on Armenia’s planned accession to the aforesaid Russia-led union.
The RLP MP recalled that the close-to-2.5-million-strong largest Diaspora-Armenian community is in Russia, and the vast majority of the remittances to Armenia are sent from this country.
