YEREVAN. – The true goal of Turkey in connection with creation of a group of historians on the Armenian Genocide issues is to make studies last forever, expert on Turkic studies Artak Shakaryan said during a conference in Yerevan.

He said the experts on genocide issues point out 10 stages of genocide perpetration from classifying to denial. And denial is continuation of the genocide.

“During several years the Turks formed clear approach to the Armenian Genocide issue: they are offering to create a group of historians that will study tragic events of 1915. The true goal, naturally, is to make studies last forever so that the need for new facts could be felt,” he added.
