YEREVAN. – Armenia's special investigation committee has opened a criminal case into trafficking of Chinese citizens with their preliminary consent.

Citizens of China brought four women to Armenia promising a well-paid job of masseurs in Yerevan or in neighboring Georgia. In fact, women became victims of sex trafficking.

The four women were kept in the hotel located in Yerevan and were subjected to sexual exploitation.

The citizens of China Chuan Xong Wang and Lien Fang Van Chun Chui who brought a group of women to Armenia were arrested on Wednesday.

As reported earlier, a group of Chinese women were taken to a police station, in the early morning hours on Wednesday, from a hotel in capital city Yerevan. They were working in the hotel as masseurs.
