YEREVAN. - Gagik Harutyunyan, President of the Armenian Constitutional Court and Chairman of the Commission on Constitutional Reforms, will meet with Venice Commission representatives on July 1-2.

The sources of Armenian News – NEWS.am say the meeting is expected to be ‘tough,’ and will clarify the constitutional reforms which will be made in Armenia.  Specifically, issues on shifting to proportional system, application of parliamentary model of government, and judicial authorities will be clarified.

Constitutional Reforms Commission members have already completed the first stage of the meeting with political forces, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan being briefed on the results. Armenian News – NEWS.am sources also say the political forces may make proposals and participate in their discussion with respect to the bill.
