YEREVAN. – The woman that was injured by her husband hours after giving birth is still critical, head of intensive care department said.

There is positive dynamics, but her condition remains serious. The doctors are fighting to save the life of a woman, Suren Margaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The newborn girl is in an intensive care department as well, she is in stable, but critical condition.

A tragic event occurred Tuesday at the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. A man had come to the hospital, shot his wife hours after she gave birth, and then committed suicide.
