YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Friday received a delegation comprising several participants in the 4th International Medical Congress of Armenia, informed the Public Relations Department of the Office of the President.
The aforementioned event is held from Wednesday to Saturday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
The President expressed confidence that the fourth congress likewise will stand out for its productiveness. Sargsyan considered it inspiring that Armenians who live abroad and have had significant accomplishments contribute their track-record and knowhow also to the development of healthcare system of the Motherland.
The Armenian President also underscored the holding of this congress on a regular basis.
The guests, for their part, presented to Sargsyan the results of the discussions held at the congress, the agreements toward the development of cooperation as well as their outlook on and recommendations for the challenges in the healthcare system of Armenia, and the possible avenues for addressing these challenges.
The interlocutors shared the view that even though some positive changes are recorded every year in Armenia toward improving health care, there is still considerable work ahead, and therefore it is indispensable to combine the capacity of the medical specialists in Armenia and in the Armenian diaspora.
