YEREVAN. – A special tea event was held Thursday at the “Hikari” Armenian-Japanese Cultural Center in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

Visiting Ochino-san performed a Japanese tea ceremony, and within the framework of the event entitled “High Culture and Traditions from Japan.”

The ceremony was organized by the “Hikari” center and the Embassy of Japan in Yerevan.

Ochino-san is in Armenia for the first time.

“Hopefully, I will come again,” he added.

The Japanese tea ceremony, also called the Way of Tea, is a Japanese cultural activity involving the ceremonial preparation and presentation of matcha, a powdered green tea.
