Five people are killed and eight others are injured as a result of a natural gas explosion in a multi-story building in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia. 

The mayor of Tbilisi,  Davit Narmania, stated about the aforementioned at the scene.

According to preliminary information, the cause of the explosion was a natural gas leak, reported Gruzia Online news agency of Georgia.

In addition, the wave of the blast has collapsed the walls and broken the windows of several neighboring apartments.
