YEREVAN. – The Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is engaged more than ever in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.

French Ambassador to Armenia, Jean-François Charpentier, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am. He noted this reflecting on Azerbaijan’s most recent shooting at the civilians in Armenian villages.

The diplomat noted that the Minsk Group is currently working on resuming the Armenia-Azerbaijan discourse at the highest level.

“I’m following with concern the increasing ceasefire violations on the Armenian Azerbaijani border and the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh,” said Charpentier. “France, as a Minsk Group co-chair, calls on the parties to the conflict to avoid any escalation of military tension, and to take all measures that are necessary to maintain ceasefire.”
