The Risk Reduction Agency of the United States Department of Defense on Wednesday delivered to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia a special professional multifunctional vehicle for quickly responding to biological emergencies.

The Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, Haykaram Mkhitaryan, noted that Armenia now has a vehicle laboratory that can detect infectious diseases, and help prevent the spread of these infections.

The US Deputy Chief of Mission in Armenia, Woodward Clark Price, for his part, noted that one of their objectives is to develop skills in detection and prevention of infectious diseases in Armenia.
