YEREVAN. – Armenia will become a member in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes.

The respective decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet session.

The Minister of Finance, Gagik Khachatryan, noted that this global forum encompasses 125 countries, and several international offshore zones.

The annual membership fee is 15,000 euros

Armenia, by joining this organization, will gain access to the automated database of tax payments, and this will enable to monitor the international cases of tax evasion.
