The visit of the European Commission’s delegation to Baku scheduled for next week has been canceled because of the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on Thursday.  

The sides had to discuss the details of the strategic partnership agreement, contact.az reported.

"In general we have to reconsider relations with the European Union with strong anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Islamic trends," Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The European Parliament on Thursday approved resolution condemning Azerbaijan.

MEPs condemned Azerbaijan for its violations of fundamental freedoms and human rights.
