A khachkar (cross stone) dedicated to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide was concentrated and opened in Kirovohrad , a city in Ukraine.

The local officials, clergy and representatives of the local Armenian community attended the ceremony, Genocide.org.ua reported.

Head of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Vilen Shatvoryan delivered an opening speech.

Khachkars dedicated to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide were installed in other Ukrainian cities – Nikolayev, Poltava, Uzhhorod and Berezhany.
