The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, had a telephonic conversation with the Russian PM, Dmitry Medvedev.

First, Abrahamyan congratulated and extended good wishes to Medvedev, on his 50th birth anniversary.

The Armenian Premier stressed that Russia is an important strategic partner of Armenia, and he highly praised Dmitry Medvedev role in the development of Armenian-Russian allied relations.

Hovik Abrahamyan also underscored their warm and friendly relations, and expressed confidence that these relations will contribute to the further fostering and strengthening of ties between the Armenian and Russian peoples.

In addition, the interlocutors reflected on the forthcoming meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council—and which will be convened in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, and several other matters of mutual interest.
