The Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, on Monday met in Brussels with the Head of Higher Education, Modernisation Agenda and Erasmus at the Directorate General for Education and Culture at the European Commission, Adam Tyson.

First, Ashotyan noted that assuming the three-year Secretariat of the Bologna Process was a huge responsibility for Armenia. He added that this secretariat has had a substantial impact on the acceleration of higher education reforms, and the rising of this higher education to a qualitatively new level in the country.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the matter of opening a National Erasmus Office in Armenia, and the country’s active and comprehensive engagement in this program.

Ashotyan and Tyson also exchanged views on several other topics of mutual interest.
