YEREVAN. - Armenia’s parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan today received the parliamentary delegation of the Czech Republic headed by Senate Deputy President Zdeněk Škromach.

Welcoming the delegation, Sahakyan stressed that Armenian attaches great importance to the stable development of friendly ties with the Czech Republic. He also noted that the Armenian-Czech inter-parliamentary relations have seen a positive improvement in the recent years. Sahakyan underscored the significance of the parliamentary diplomacy in the development of political dialogue.

He also expressed hope that the visit of Zdeněk Škromach and the Committee on Economy, Agriculture and Transport of the Czech Republic Senate will give an additional impetus to the development of the inter-parliamentary ties, strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation and expansion of trade and economic ties.

Referring to the friendship between the two nations, Zdeněk Škromach said that the common history enables developing ties and multi-lateral cooperation in the future. According to him, along with the development of interstate ties, the Czech Republic also aims to develop its industrial relations with Armenia.
