The vehicle belonging to Baghram Aharonyan, a resident of Aygehovit border village in the Tavush Province of Armenia, was completely burnt on Tuesday at around 5pm, and as a result of sniper fire by Azerbaijan.

“The incident occurred near the vineyards, which are very close to the Azerbaijani border,” said village Mayor Levon Grigoryan. “There were several women working in the vineyards, who, fortunately, did not sustained injuries.”

He added, however, that the situation is calm at the moment, and no shots are fired.

Grigoryan noted that, upon the instruction of the provincial governor, they are assessing the respective damage caused to the villager in order to compensate.
