YEREVAN. – The Bright Armenia citizens’ initiative will become a political party when it will be prepared for a congress.
Independent MP Edmon Marukyan, who is the architect of this initiative, told about the aforesaid to several reporters in the National Assembly.
In Marukyan’s words, members of various civic movements have become members in their initiative.
“People who agree with us have joined us,” said the MP. “It doesn’t matter which movement they are from; what matters for us is that they be people with a clean background.”
To our query as to whether Bright Armenia plans to run in Armenia’s next parliamentary election, which is slated for 2017, Edmon Marukyan responded: “If we are a political force, we shall run in all national elections.”
