YEREVAN. – Newly appointed head of EU delegation to Armenia Piotr Switalski handed over the copies his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Minister Nalbandian congratulated Ambassador and wished success in his mission, expressing hope that the head of EU delegation will contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Armenia and EU.

Ambassador Switalski said he arrived in Armenia with the warmest feelings and positive agenda. The diplomat assured he would do his utmost to strengthen partnership with Armenia, Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

The sides discussed implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of European Council President Donald Tusk as well as broad range of issues of Armenia-EU cooperation.

They expressed hope that negotiations over new legal document between Armenia and EU will start in the near future.

Minister Nalbandian briefed EU Ambassador on the events organized on the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. They also touched upon the Karabakh peace process.
