Armenia needs to gain benefits from advantages in all possible trade blocks, Mr Paul Davis, president and chief operating officer at the US-based consultancy, Pragma Corporation, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Pragma Corporation, which has been active in Armenia since 2011 through USAID-funded projects, is now helping the Government with a roadmap for the Armenia investment conference to be held in New York in September 2016. This will be preceded by a roadshow in some of financial hubs across the globe: Dubai, Shanghai, Hong Kong, London, Moscow, Buenos Aires, and Los Angeles.

“I think there are advantages to be had in building and strengthening existing relationships with the Eurasian Union, while trying to trigger business ties with Western Europe and beyond. It’s important for Armenia to look virtually in all directions to increase trade and attract investors,” he said.

Pragma will help the government to design presentations, outlining priority sectors for investment. Those must be industries with strong export potential and linkages to other sectors, to increase spillover effect in employment and revenues.
