YEREVAN. – President of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Galust Sahakyan, on Friday received Kuwaiti Ambassador Bassam Muhammad Alqabandi.

The parliament speaker highlighted the greater development of bilateral relations, further deepening of parliamentary relations, and enhancement of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. In Sahakyan’s words, there is huge potential in the development of cooperation between Armenia and Kuwait in the political, economic, cultural, and several other domains.

Alqabandi, for his part, conveyed to Galust Sahakyan the congratulatory message and best wishes by the speaker of the Kuwait NA, Marzouq Al-Ghanim, on the forthcoming anniversary of Armenia’s Independence Day. The diplomat also highlighted the deepening of parliamentary cooperation, which, according to him, will substantially promote the intensification of bilateral ties in all directions.

In the course of the meeting, the interlocutors also touched upon the process of Armenia’s constitutional reforms, regional challenges, and some other matters of bilateral interest.
