YEREVAN. – I do not believe that the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly (PA) would lose a lot by Azerbaijan’s leaving.

Head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction, Vahram Baghdasaryan, told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am. He stated this commenting on the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis’ (NA) decision to suspend its delegation’s participation in the Euronest PA sessions.

“Naturally, Azerbaijan needs to make uproar and express dissatisfaction in any way,” stressed Baghdasaryan. “[But] I would advise [Azerbaijan], instead of all this, to establish law and order in their own country, in domestic and foreign policy.”

The Armenian MP added that the Azerbaijani authorities need to consider the view of the international community.

As for the chances of banning the European Parliament’s entry to Azerbaijan, the RPA deputy noted: “I believe this will not become a worrying factor for the MEPs [i.e. Members of the European Parliament]. Azerbaijan has a huge ‘black’ list, which includes figures who have visited Nagorno-Karabakh. There already are two to three thousand people on this list, and nothing will happen if another fifteen to twenty people were included in it.”
