YEREVAN. – There is no serious cooperation between Armenia and Brazil, but there are good prospects, Ambassador Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro saod during an economic forum that is held in Yerevan within “Countries Under One Roof” festival.
“The main message of my report is what we have to do for the effective use of opportunities existing between Armenia and Brazil. First, Brazil may become a good partner for Armenia, as a country with large, mainly young population. Brazil has a stable economy, foreign trade partners from Asia, EU, Africa and the entire world,” the Ambassador said.
Armenia has to consider Brazil as a consumer of it production, and the Brazilian companies are seeking ways for development of cooperation with the Armenian colleagues, Ambassador said.
He urged Armenians to visit Brazil to meet with entrepreneurs and participate in trade fairs that can open up opportunities for development of cooperation.
Brazilian business people should be informed about Armenia's possibilities, especially in terms of membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, he added.
